Learning Kumaoni and Garhwali
There is no special script or alphabets used for kumaoni and garhwali boli, All the words or letters can be written using hindi alphabets. Hindi is national language of India and mostly used in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. It was originally written with the Brahmi script but since the 11th century AD it has been written with the Devanagari alphabet. There are 7 vowels, 36 consonants (including 3 conjunct consonants क्ष त्र ज्ञ) in Hindi. So it will help to have an idea about hindi alphabets before learning any of these languages.
